This Privacy Policy applies to the Codenza Labs mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the “App”), developed and maintained by Codenza Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This document explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use our App.

A. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App provides developer tools, utilities, and historical tracking features. Most of your user-generated data, configurations, and history are stored locally on your device using local database solutions (such as AsyncStorage/local device memory). We do not automatically upload, harvest, or store your usage history on external servers.

B. Device Permissions & Utility Access

To provide intended functionality, the App may interact with specific device features only upon your explicit action:

  • Clipboard: When you use features to copy or paste content within our utility tools, the App accesses your clipboard temporarily solely to complete that action.
  • File System & Sharing: When saving, importing, or sharing files generated by our tools, the App utilizes secure system file access. We do not scan, collect, or transmit your unrelated personal files.

C. Automatically Collected Data & Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use third-party services to help support and maintain the App. Specifically, we integrate Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob and associated advertising partners may automatically collect certain device information, including:

  • Advertising Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android or Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS.
  • Device Details: Device model, operating system version, mobile network information, screen resolution, and language settings.
  • Usage & Interaction Data: Advertisement views, clicks, and general interaction patterns for ad display and reporting purposes.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: Technologies used by Google Ads and its partners to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements based on your preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  1. App Functionality: To operate core utilities, maintain your historical tool usage locally, and provide clipboard/file system operations when initiated by you.
  2. Monetization & Advertising: To deliver relevant advertisements through Google AdMob to keep the App accessible to users.
  3. Performance & Optimization: To analyze performance, debug technical issues, and improve the general user experience of the App.
  4. Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and app store developer policies.

3. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to general commercial third parties. Information may be shared under the following restricted circumstances:

  • Service Providers & Advertising Partners: We share necessary device data and advertising identifiers with Google AdMob and certified ad technology providers to deliver adverts and measure ad performance.
  • Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, we may disclose available information to protect our legal rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may display advertisements or contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services that are not operated by us. Once you click on a third-party ad or link, you leave our App and will be subject to the privacy policies and terms of those external platforms. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of any third-party sites or services.

5. Your Choices and Privacy Controls

You retain significant control over your data and how it is shared:

  • Advertising Preferences (Personalized Ads):
    • On Android: You can reset your advertising ID or opt-out of personalized ads in your device settings by navigating to Settings > Google > Ads and selecting Opt out of Ads Personalization or Delete advertising ID.
    • On iOS: You can manage tracking permissions by navigating to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and disabling Allow Apps to Request to Track for the App.
  • Local Data & History: You can clear your in-app history or tool data directly within the App settings or by uninstalling the App, which clears local app storage from your device.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is designed for a general audience of developers, technical users, and professionals. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain European jurisdictions). If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without verification of parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete such information from our records.

7. Data Retention & Security

We employ commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from loss, unauthorized access, or misuse. Because primary user interactions and utility outputs are stored locally on your physical device, you remain in direct control of your data retention. Data collected by third-party advertising SDKs is subject to Google's standardized data retention practices.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, SDK dependencies, or regulatory requirements.
